I have been a member of Sizwe Medical Fund for about 12 years. The last few years I have been on Chronic medication for Parkinsons Disease. Today at about 12.15 I went to Clicks Pharmacy to collect my medication, only to be told that Sizwe will only pay for the one medication and not the other. I am on medication in the morning & the night. This medication is extremely important to my wellbeing. I obviously phoned Sizwe today and this is the message on their answering machine. " Dear valued clients, please note that these offices will close from 12 o'clock on the 24th December and will reopen at 8am on Thursday 2nd January 2014. We would like to apologise for any inconvenienced caused"
This kind of service is totally unacceptable. Let's see how quick they are to present the monthly debit order, I'm sure they will not have to apologise for failing to present the debit order. What am I supposed to do about my medication. There is not even a message for one to contact them in the case of an emergency. They obviously do not give a about their paying members.. I think that my best option is to stop my debit order and fight with them from there.
