My mother C Barker (84 years old) medical aid was cancelled on the 28th February 2013 - we bought her medication cash on the 15th March 2013. On the 28th March the medical aid was deducted from her pension (R1240.61) I then contacted Sizwe and queried this - they said I must speak to the pension fund (Alexander Forbes)
I then contacted Alexander Forbes and they say I must get a cancellation certificate from the medical aid and send to them - I did this on the 5th April. On the 10th April I received an email from the pension fund stateting that they send the money to Sizwe and they must refund my mother. I forwarded this letter to Sizwe and hard no reply. This morning I phoned Sizwe and enquired about the refund and spoke to Lebo. She said they cannot pay the money to my mother without permission from the pension fund!! I then said but you have the email from the pension fund that was send to me!! She said no sorry they must have a letter or email with an name on it from the pension fund to do the refund (but she did confirm that they have the money with them) What must I do to get my mothers refund back? please advise me!!
