On the 28th Of Ocober 2013 I booked 2 Standard rooms with King sized beds through Discovery, Being peak season I paid peak rates for the room and due to non availability of family rooms, I paid a huge sum of money. On the 5th of December after having travelled all the way from Zeerust to Durban, I checked in and was allocated room 2932 and 2933... When I entered the room I discovered that these rooms had one double bed and not a King sized bed... I immediately phoned guest services and I was told that all rooms are standard King size and its impossible that its a double bed... I insisted they send someone up to checkand they refused insisting it was a king bed... After three phone calls and going down to reception personally they investigated and discovered that I was correct. Because the hotel is fully booked they gave a third room at a discount of R850 per night, I have now spent almost R 20 000 for my rooms for four nights... There were apologetic after the fifth phone call and discovering there error but I feel there is still a cause for concern that I was treated so badly and had to endure so much stress.
