My husband was rushed to the ER as his vehicle had over turned on the highway due to the heavy rains we have been experiencing and he lost control of the car. After being treated by the doctor he was released that very evening with some pain tablets to take home due to a broken shoulder. It was truly a miracle that he came out alive. To our horror the doctor treating him wrote on his report that he could smell alcohol on him however my husband DID NOT consume any alcohol prior to the accident. This doctor had the opportunity, the resources and could have obtained permission to test his concerns and he chose not to. Now my insurance claim is in jeopardy because of his sloppy work and im disgusted that doctors like him can be part of netcare. He cannot go around making false accusations based on his senses and not his professional expertise. I intend to take this further with the medical board. How he received his medical licence baffles me. Please school Dr Mackenzie as his mistakes could cost your hospital a lot of money in the future if he continues to to be defamotory against patients. ref 78000 (doctors report)
