I have been on med aid for a year and a half now, however I have not used it for my GP visits as I was advised by my GP to pay cash, On the 2nd of October I was admitted into hospital for further tests, I was discharged on the 5th October with confirmation that I had Lupus. Since my discharge I have been trying to resolve this issue with my bill as i was informed that it was declined. i have called the call center many times, even went into the walk in office to get help. My last call was a week ago and spoke to Yaseen who informed me that the reason for not paying was that Bonitas had no record of me going to my GP as I had not used my med aid. I have since gone to my bank and got all my payments that I made to my GP as proof. Taken into consideration that I have not even claimed back for those visits, I only took the cover for hospitalization but the one time i needed it i was unable to, apart from having to deal with my newly diagnosed illness I have to worry about this bill, I am unemployed and have never defaulted on my premium. Why cant Bonitas use any of my other benefits to pay my bill, what is the use of having this if i still have to pay the hospital??? this is not fai
