I ordered prescription glasses a few months ago. I waited very long for my glasses and had to contact them several times before I finally got it... I think it was about 2 or 3 weeks, but I cant remember exactly.
The first time I cleaned it the one lens fell out. I inspected the glasses and saw that the lens was too loose in the frame and they tried to correct it with some kind of rubber tape around the glass lens. I took it back and they sent me to the other branch in George to see the technician. He inspected the glasses and phoned Garden route Mall to order a new lens for the left side. He found that it was cut too small for the frame.
The first off day I had was a month or two later and I returned to George branch to get the lens fitted. I discovered that they never ordered the lens for me. I repeated the request again when I visited the mall only to be told that I would have to pay about R800 for the lens. After some persuasion the assistant agreed to take up the matter with a superior.
I now have the lens fitted, but I know it is not the same as the lens I had before. I am just so sick and tired of going back and forth to have this stupid glasses sorted out!!!
