Today I decided to have lunch at Cofi in Rosebank. I had a good meal, but when it came time to pay I was told I couldn't use my card. There is apparently a minimum amount which they accept, which my lunch did not reach. I said that I wasn't told about this before I sat down, I also observed that there was no sign anywhere informing customers of this fact. Like many people I never have cash on me, I use my card all the time. When I pointed this out, the waiter said I should have asked! After having an argument with the staff about this matter, they finally took my card with a lot of ugly talk towards me. The attitude and customer service was shocking! No respect for customers and raising their voices to me. This is a very short-sighted approach, especially considering how much choice we have in Rosebank for lunch time eateries. I will no longer be going to Cofi or referring my clients to them in the future.
This was a terrible experience and I cannot believe people in the service industry feel they can get away with such terrible behaviour.
