I was referred to Dr Lourens by my GP and after consulting with Dr Lourens, she advised that I be hospitalised for tests at Unitas. I was hospitalised on 12 August 2013 and discharged on 14 August 2013. During this period, tests were done and I was promised a call in about a week to inform me of the results. It is now a month and a half since I was discharged, but I still have no results! I have been calling Dr Lourens and leaving dozens of messages with her receptionist, who has been telling me that Dr Lourens is very busy and will attend to my request soon. Today when I called, I was told Dr Lourens is on leave and will be informed of my request next Monday, when she is back. I want to understand if this is acceptable as I have informed the receptionist that I still have the symptoms I have been complaining about & also new ones, which I don't even know whether they are related or what. I feel like I should seek second opinion, but does it mean I must go through the same set of tests I have undergone with Dr Lourens with a different Dr and pay again?
