It has been 8 working days now since I submitted 2 claims to Discovery. We are in a self-payment gap and these 2 claims will close the gap. It has been so long so we decided to call Discovery and we were told they would escalate the one claim and do not know why it has not been processed yet. The other claim had an error on the invoice from the doctor, and the consultant said they would call the doctor's rooms and get the correct invoice. We had to call AGAIN today and still the claims have NOT been processed and nobody can help us and we held on for over 30 minutes.
We pay thousands of rands to Discovery every year and get this kind of service. We need to get to the optometrist urgently and cannot go because if we do - we must pay cash as Discovery did not process the 2 claims to close our self-payment gap.
Why must we run after Discovery? This is not what we are paying for and I'm disgusted at the service.
