I booked accomodation through Goedkoop Vakansies in December 2012 and pre-paid the full amount, as stipulated by their conditions. My family and I arrived in KZN, ready to start our holiday, only to find that the resort would not allow myself and my family in the booked accomodation as the Goedkoop vakansies consultant had booked the incorrect accomodation type, only catering for 4 people and not 6. This despite the fact that I had telephonically and via e-mail confirmed on several different occasions that we were 6 people and Goedkoop Vakansies's confirmation stating 6 sleeper.
I had to find alternative accomodation at 4'o clock on a Friday afternoon on the 14th of December or have my wife and four kids stranded. On phoning the consultant, Ms Chantell Evans, she was somewhere on the way back to Gauteng, despite also indicating to me that she would also be at the resort herself. She could not assist me. It has now taken me 9 months to try and recover the amout paid of more than R8 000!
