We booked with Richard for a weeks holiday in January at Praia do Sol. I paid the deposit of R6300.00 on 3 September 2012. On 18th September he e-mailed me to see if I was interested in the booking as he said he hadn't received deposit. I gave him the deposit details and he replied that he had found it and confirmed the booking and gave me a reservation number. On 13th December I e-mailed him and asked when the balance was payable- he replied saying it was due then. I paid the balance of R6300.00 on 27th December and asked him to confirm receipt as I was on leave and didn't have fax facilities. I didn't hear from him so I phoned Praia do Sol the night before we left to check everything was in order. To my shock and horror they knew nothing of our booking- he hadn't made the booking nor paid over any money. The owner of Praia do Sol went out of his way to organise us alternative accomodation which he managed to do. Needless to say we had to pay again as Richard had taken our money. The owner of Praia do Sol tried to contact him on several occasions to try and help us. He has received no reply. I have bben e-mailing him since Monday when we got back- no replies.
