Rejected Chronic Illness Benefit application -WRefNo#2980766509#- -MailRef#662063314#-
Can you please respond to my query as stated below, you have sent me a whole lot of links, which are meaningless:
You rejected my application for an increase in current dosage (by a Physician) of an approved chronic medication Amlodipine, can you please explain why?
The application for increased chronic Hypertension medication (already approved) from 5mg to 10mg was not specifically for Ciplavasc (a brand name not in your formulary apparently) as you have stated in the attached file but for Amlodipine which is the active ingredient in Ciplavasc as it is also the active ingredient in several other equivalent generic brands such as: Almadin, Amlate, Amlodac, Austell-Amlodipine.
Dis-Chem Pharmacy regularly switch and supply alternative generic brands of medication if they don't have stock of the usual one at the time of renewal. These are all: Selective calcium channel blockers with mainly vascular effects
Physicians do not always know what brands you happen to have in your formulary, so please attempt to work on the Active Ingredients instead.
You look like fools.
