A disappointing Discovery

In June of 2013 my son, Imran Hoosen was taken to the doctor as he had a wart growing on his hand. The doctor then said that he could not remove it and had to refer him to a Dermatologist. The doctor, Dr Solomons, then sent a letter of motivation to Discovery to get a specialist authorisation number. Weeks passed and we heard nothing from Discovery. I then contacted Discovery on a number of occasions and spoke to a few people, Divashni, Edmund, Zukele, Tony, Natasha and Rachel, to name a few. I was told that a PMA form was required and that they had sent it to the doctor to complete. On further investigation, it was found that the PMA form was sent to Dr Abrahams, who is another doctor on my Key Care list and not to Dr Solomons, the referring doctor. They then assured me that the form will be resent to Dr Solomons. Dr Solomons informed me that he had not received the PMA form. I finally got tired of this whole mess and took my son to the referred Dermatologist as the wart had become extremely big causing my son considerable pain. I had the wart removed on the 7th of August 2013 and Imran is doing well. He is able to play sport again and has no pain, no thanks to Discovery. Phadiel
