Hi I recently took up a medical aid for my mum in june 2013.i have not received a welcome pack or the discovery card. Further more my mum fell sick and discovery refused to admit her during the period as they needed a doctor who is appointed by us to do a medical aid report. Eventually I took my mum to a government hospital where she was given the necessary care.i phoned discovery to find out if they have got the doctors report they said that im not allowed to give them his number cos the policy is not on my name yet it comes off my account.the other option was the doctor call them which is putting the doctor in inconvenience. DISCOVERY NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND NOT ON THERE LAZY .SO WHAT HAPPENS TO MY MUM IN AN EMERGENCY DO WE WAIT EVEN IF THE DOCTOR IS OUT OF THE COUNTRY IM NOT COMPLETELY SURE OF TIME AND DATE BUT ITS THE ONLY INCIDENT
