Pathology account not paid

I received a bill for pathology account not paid by discovery reason stated code 338 (u need to get a ref nr from us before you see a specialist). I was referred to the Gynea by my GP and i received a ref nr for the Gynea visit. The same Gynea discovery authorised me to see referred me for blood test. Now my question is why want this account paid? This is a very day thing with discovery where they don't like paying bills. i don't understand what authorisation is needed. I wish my company would consider getting another medical aid company on board because I am really tired of having to deal with discovery. I will put a hello peter complaint every 5 days untill this matter is sorted out. And rest assured I will post this complaint and the outcome of it on social media as well.
