I went into hospital had a few scans done, apparently the scans done or the code used by the doctor bankmed refused to pay I now owe the doctor R3000 that I feel is very unnecsessary simply becase I am on the highest plan and shoud be covered 100% in hospital. The way the matter was handled is not to my satisfactory and I am thinking of leaving bankmed and going to another medical aid that will look after its clients. The scan that was done was for pregnancy I had a miscarriage and the scan was to check if the fetus was alive or not bankmed says the code used to claim does not fall under pregnancy, if they had qualified doctors on ther staff surely they can justify why such scans were done.
