MOST PATHETIC SERVICE FROM MEDSHIELD

I PHONED MEDSHIELD ON THE FIRST OF JULY WHEN MY SCHEME STARTED AND THE OPERATOR TOLD ME CLEARLY I CAN GO TO ANY HOSPITAL WITH A EMERGENCY MY SON WAS RECENTLY ADMITTED TO HOSP WITH PNEUMONIA AND TONSILLITIS ON THE 25TH OF JULY. I THEN NEVER RECEIVED A AUTHORISATION CODE FROM MEDSHIELD I THEN PHONED THEM UP TO ASK WHAT IS GOING ON, THE OPERATOR ONCE AGAIN TELLS ME ITS FOR A EMERGENCY AND THEY ARE JUST REVIEWING THE DOCUMENTATION. ON LAST WEEK TUESDAY I PHONED AGAIN TO BE TOLD MY AUTHORISATION IS NOT APPROVED AS IT IS FOR CAR ACCIDENT EMERGENCY ONLY, AFTER TELLING THE LADY THAT THE PREVIOUS OPERATOR CLEARLY TOLD ME A EMERGENCY AND DID NOT SPECIFY CAR ACCIDENT ONLY I WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN MY SON TO HOSP, IF I KNEW THAT. SHE THEN TELLS ME A MANAGER WOULD CALL ME I PHONED AGAIN AFTER NOT RECEIVING A CALL ON THURSDAY THE "TEAM LEADER" SOUNDS VERY ARROGANT AND TELLS ME TO PHONE MFO THE AUTHORISATION DEPARTMENT HANDLING THE CLAIMS OF MEDSHIELD. I PHONE THEM UP AND AFTER EXPLAINING MY STORY THE LADY TELLS ME SHE WOULD CALL BACK, AND UNTIL NOW SHE HAS NOT PHONED ME. THIS MEDICAL AID IS NOT UP TO STANDARD AND THIS MATTER WOULD BE TAKEN FURTER SOON. THE MOST PATHETIC SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD
