Southern Sun
Attempt to gain access to my room

I was checked in to the Garden Court Umhlanga from 19 July 2013 to 21 July 2013. On the morning of the 21st of July 2013 at around 8:00am house keeping was attempting to get into my room, despite the latch on the inside being on. She attempted repeatedly opening the door only to be held back by the latch (for this purpose alone). From the shower i could hear these loud attempts. Once i managed to get out the shower and get to the door i was horrified to to discover a hand appearing through the door and attempting to unhook the inside latch. House keeping's excuse was "Sorry I did not know anyone was in the room." My question is how on earth did the latch get put on if nobody was in the room! I am now concerned for the safety and security of myself and my belongings at this establishment. I do have the name of the housekeeping staff member.
