My boyfriend and I stopped over for the night at the Sheraton Hotel in Pretoria on Saturday the 16th February 2013. At about 7:30 the next morning we were woken up by someone frantically trying to open our hotel room door. My boyfriend immediately jumped out of bed and went to see what was going on and to his suprize he found a gentleman still attempting to open our door. The man was equally suprized to see that someone was inside the room he was allocated that morning. I found it to be appauling that a hotel highly rated and esteemed the world over can make such a careless mistake. Thank goodness I had locked the door the night before because then the man would have had access to our room. We immediately reported the matter to concierge and they said they would look into the matter but no apology was given until we called them the 2nd time to complain about the faulty Aircon (which never worked) and coffee machine.
I find this kind of service to be completely unacceptable and I doubt we will ever consider not remmend the Sheraton Hotel to any of our friends, collegues or family.
Not what we expected at all, Extremely DISSAPOINTED!!!
