Gym membership

I have been a vitality and virgin active member through Discovery for 12 years and last month they cancelled my gym membership, saying that I had 1 visit short of the required visits.
When I checked my records I noticed that there was at least one visit that I had made that they had not recorded. Added to this I had emailed them in August last year (which is within the 12 month period) informing them that I would not be attending gym for at least 3 months due to a broken ankle.
When I informed them of the missing visit they basically told me I was lying as there records matched the gym records. However I know for a fact that I made this visit it was the week that my fiances father died and I know i was at gym the day of his funeral and the day we were called to the hospital.
I was not going to take this further, I am however planning on cancelling my discovery membership at the end of the year, but then I saw that other people have had the same issue, so I feel that Discovery needs to sort out their problems with their system.
I am a very active person, I run half marathons and swim midmar mile, but they do not see this as a sign as someone that trains on a regular basis!
