I made use of this supplier about 3 months ago for new glasses for my husband, upon arrival at the store I requested to be quoted first, and they called my medical aid, in our presence to obtain the amount that medical aid would pay, thereafter they gave me an amount, close to R500 that I had to pay, which I did pay same time. My husband then waited for the glassed for a week and he collected from them. Yesterday I got a phone call from a lady at Spec Savers to say that I still owe them around R500! I then asked but how as I paid that same day! She then replied it is above that amount as my medical aid did not pay all the money to them? I mean how can this be? I said to her but this is not fair to me as, they called that day and confirmed with me the amount medical aid would pay and I then could afford to pay around R500! Now the again R500! On top of this the lady said that a lady, Cecilia have called me before to come and pay and I Never received prior notice! no phone call nothing. I requested the account to be emailed to myself, supplied my emaild address, still now, no account received till now :(
