Sneaky and dodgy service

In January 2012 one of my dependent a on my medical aid went to fill up a script for spectacles and informed the lady on duty that we would be resigning from medical aid that same month and asked that if the claim was processed if will everything be covered and paid for in time. The lady called medical aid and assured us that all will be paid for since we still had funds.

In October 2012 I received a statement from Specsavers saying I owe R2075 from the claim in January, when I enquired as to why I only received a statement 9 months later I was told that the lady who does the billings had resigned early in the year and that they had no one doing the accounts. I asked as to why they incompetence had anything to do with me and they basically said its not their problem and that I have to pay up or they will blacklist me. I spoke to Phillip and he was the most rude person I dealt with and he confirmed that I would be blacklisted if I did not pay up.

I was forced to pay the R2075 that the lady had assured me would be paid fully by the medical aid, I will never ever use SpecSavers again. They are dodgy, how can a company send you the bill almost 10 months later.
