1200 Characters are not enough to describe the poor service - including blood on the floor in the treatment room from the previous patient. I have been promised that hospital management would follow up on our complaint we lodged with the ward manager - we have not heard from the hospital.
18. Today I receive an account from Glynwood Trauma - for R501.30 I was told I had to pay the R450 because of my medical aid plan. Today I was told it was because they cannot verify members and or savings at night and that the trauma unit is not part of the hospital and that they are not contracted in with the medical aid. I do not have a choice for a hospital. Now I am forced to go to a hospital where the trauma unit is not "contracted" with the medical aid. What if I did not have R450 at that moment? When I phoned I was told it is my problem - not theirs and that the medical aid will refund me "if you have benefits like you said" (implying that I am lying) That is not the issue; although I am exceptionally frustrated by the R100 "administration fee" on the invoice - which I cannot see the medical aid to refund.
I will not recommend any person to go to this hospital.
