Turned back at Casualty Ward

I took my wife to the Casualty ward in Die Wilgers at about 6:30 in the morning, upon my arrival I was told I
had to pay cash as I had owed the hospital before and took long to settle my account and as a result they were not going to attend to my wife's emergency if I dont pay cash for all the attention from their consultation fee of R 525, 00 to all the tests they were going to run. I explained to them that they are free to call my medical aid to verify funds but they told me they are not going to call my medical aid but I must pay cash and I will claim from my medical aid, I could not understand this as I did not owe the hospital any money and it was ubsurd for them to insist I pay cash, suffice to say I left the hospital and drive all the way to town from Pretoria East to get her to another hospital. The reason they told me they did this was their Director wrote on my file that I must pay cash whenever I come to the hospital.
