On Sunday the 5th of February 2012 I landed up at Arwyp's emergency centre with kidney stones and was admitted to the hospital on the same day. For some reason and in spite of the pain I suffered they could not get a radiology report till late Monday afternoon. In my opinion time I had to spend in hospital unnecessarily and at high cost.
Early Tuesday morning Dr O Adebisi endeavoured to remove the stones in theatre... To my disgust we discovered that he operated on the wrong kidney which meant another stint in theatre that same day. Needless to say that this messed me up big time. What should've been a two day stay in hospital turned into five days and another visit to theatre and three more days in hospital to have a stent removed.
This was not the last of my drama though. Persistent pain forced me to seek a second opinion and treatment from Dr Paul Smit.
Arwyp obviously refuses to accept any responsibility in this and apart from the fact that they were paid an astronomic amount of money by the medical aid they still choose to harass me for two small amounts. Where in fact they or their doctor should be responsible for these 'additional' costs.
Out of principle I refuse to pay!
