Delay in processing of applications

I am very disappointed with Discovery. Both my children have been members of this medical aid since June 2005. Having turned 21 I decided to move them onto their own Discovery memberships effective 1 July in order for them not to have a break in membership (resigned 30 June). First of all there is no response to date on my youngest son's application (ref 639414371). My oldest son's application (4364406) says a waiting period is imposed with the reason "You were a member of a registered South African medical scheme for longer than 24 months and you had a break in membership of less than 90 days since your last medical cover, you can use healthcare services covered by the prescribed minimum benefits while on your waiting period." Furthermore a response from Stephanie in writing states "The member has answered yes to question 12.15 on the application form, therefore a 3 month waiting period will apply." 12.15 is for an eye condition for which he doesnt receive treatment. This is unacceptable and a discrepancy in the reason you give for your waiting period. This woman obviously doesn't read well. I expect a resolution to both applications by close of business today!
