After getting married I wanted my wife to leave her current Medical aid and join me on Discovery, on filling in the application to add dependents, when I reached Question 7.2.1 Have you been admitted to Hospital in the 12 months before this application I had to answer yes as my wife had to under go emergency surgery, from which she is now fully recovered and my step daughter had dental work done in theatre.
Now they have an automatic General waiting period with minimum benefits for 3 months
Why would we take a chance of having basically no cover for 3 months when she is already on a medical aid with full cover for the last 6 years and has never in her whole life not had Medical Aid Cover
After I have been with Discovery for more that 10 years I feel they are discriminating again my wife for been in hospital, I feel Discovery is just out to make as much money as possible off their members.
If I could I would leave discovery and join my wife on her Medical Aid
