I RECENTLY WENT TO MY CARDIOLOGIST FOR A CHECK UP HAVING PHONED MEDSHIELD AND ASKED IF THEY WOULD PAY FOR IT. AS IT IS ONE OF MY CHRONIC AILMENTS I RECENTLY RECEIVED WHAT THEY CALL PMB CONSULTATIONS FOR CHRONIC AILMENTS. I PHONED WITH ALL THE CODES THAT THE DOCTOR WOULD CHARGE ME AND I WAS TOLD THAT MOST OF IT WOULD BE COVERED . I SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF IT WOULD COME OUT OF MY DAY TO DAY OR IF IT WAS A SEPARATE ENTITY. I WAS TOLD IT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF MY DAY TO DAY. I PROCEEDED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR WHO CHARGES R3500. I SUBMITTED EVERYTHING AND AM BEING PAID 1517 COMING OUT OF MY DAY TO DAY BENEFITS!!! WHICH ARE NOW DEPLETED. I PHONED AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THAT THAT IS CORRECT. AND THE REST WOULD BE PAID OUT OF MY PMB BUT IM NOT REGISTERED FOR THIS KIND OF CHECK UP. SOMEWHERE SOMEONE IS LYING TO ME. I TAKE CHRONIC MEDICINES FOR MY BLOOD PRESSURE AND HEART AND A CARDIOLOGIST VISIT IS ALWAYS THE SAME. I REFUSE TO ACCEPT THIS SHORT PAYMENT AND WILL SUE THEM IF THEY DONT PAY UP.EVERYONE ON THE PHONE GIVES YOU A DIFFERENT STORY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE
