Currently on a hospital plan. After 1 year some chronic medication can be claimed. Paid the doctor R600 to get check up and codes. Pharmacy phoned to activate chronic..no they need reports. Ok so I send the reports of the Chronic medication (Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Asthma and Peptic ulcer). Neither the doctor or pharmacy wants to phone the chronic line as there is always issues. So I phone them. Can you please confirm if the reports was received? Sorry the doctor /pharmacist must phone. Begging the pharmacist to phone..sorry the reports was not received??!! Why is it that the premiums go off but when it's time for service there is always a issue? It cost us R24 000 for the past year. Money that we dont really have as only my husband is employed (on contract) Now it's such a battle just to get the chronic benefits activated??? The chronic reports was in any case sent with the application a year ago as well? Is all medical schemes such a issue? It cost money every tome to phone, fax see the doctor go to the pharmacy..a little effort from the scheme will be appreciated!
