My Fiancee and I are on Discovery Medical Aid. She has Athsma and requires certain medicines on Chronic every month. When we moved onto Discovery around 6 months ago, we got our doctor to put Fox Air on Chronic and my Fiancee was required to fill in a form which she did and sent it in. That was all we heard and assumed that it was now on Chronic medicine. I kept watching our Discovery Savings account dwindle monthly, unsure why and only recently found out it is because her Fox Air has not been put on Chronic and was coming off of our savings account. When My fiancee phoned Discovery yesterday, they told her it was not put on Chronic because she had not signed the form she sent in! BUll! It is highly unlikley she would not sign the document, but even so, WHY did Discovery not contact her to tell her that this was the case? She requested a copy of the document from the guy yesterday and he gave her some story about how its on their system and he cant send it to her? Why not??? This is unacceptable and i EXPECT Discovery to sort this out and refund all the claims for the Fox Air over the last few months!
