Claim Chronic Medication for PMB Condition

Since Medshield has been placed under administration, we have struggled immensely to get our chronic benefits. We spend hours every month, driving to and from the pharmacy without the medication and then on the phone to Medshield trying to get the problem sorted out.
The latest is medication for high blood pressure. It took them 3 days to authorise the medication and that only after we had made 3 calls to get things sorted out. Now we have a legal prescription as well as an authorisation letter from the medical aid.
Every time I go to the pharmacy to collect the medication, the medical aid (or maybe it's the computer since it's a system?) refuses to pay, stating that we have already received the medication. That is because according to Medshield, the pharmacy claimed it the first time against our acute funds which have been depleted. It is now 2 weeks since the script and still no medication.
THE FRUSTRATING THING is that no-one can help. The pharmacy is unable to resolve the problem. The call centre is unable to resolve it and of course, it is IMPOSSIBLE to speak to a supervisor or any other person in charge.
How on earth does Joe Public get problems with medical aids resolved?
