Discovery medical aid has been a night mare for me. I was on Momentum for 4 and half years and I never had a single issue. Discovery doesnt want to pay my hospital bill their reason being I overstayed at the hospital. As a patient what did you expert me to do? the dr didnt discharge me because i was not well and refered me to another dr for further diagnosis. the hospital case manager updated the authorisation but still declined it. i have sent motivational letters from the drs who attended me while i was hospitalised, still they will not pay. i really do not understand what they mean about 100% hospitalisation if we must be discharged even if we are not well, just because of the some smart person said for headach admission a patient must stay 24hrs in hospital. have you taken into consideration that for some patients, their diagnosis might take longer than that.

I am really not happy, i feel like Discovery is good at collecting money from clients and not providing clients with good service that they deserve and clients are not respected by this organisation. when one takes medical aid, you want the company to be there for you in times of need. this is the worst medical aid eva
