My last day on Discovery Med Aid was at the end of July 2010. I have been a student ever since. I applied for a job on the 7th May 2013 and a Quest consultant informed me that I had money owing to Discovery and if I could get that sorted then I could start the job. I got such a fright as this was the first time that I had heard of this. I spoke to a Discovery consultant who told me that she couldn't find any communication between Discovery and myself. Apparently Discovery had phoned me at the end of 2010 to try and get hold of me. Funny thing is that I still have the same contact number and only got a second contact number at the end of 2012 and occasionally use my old number.
Now I would like to know HOW I'm supposed to pay what I owe to Discovery if I can't find a job due to Discovery listing a demand deposit against my name. I've got student loans and my husband is a Pastor so money is something that doesn't flow freely.
I'm soooo disappointed to find out after such a loooong time that I owe Discovery out of the blue!!! Now il NEVER find a job and I can't afford to clear my name on ITC.
This just BIG time!! How UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
