I am extremely annoyed at the poor service that I constantly receive by the staff at the Bankmed call centre. I requested authorisation, for a hospital procedure, and I was told that a medical advisor would need to review the details, prior to me obtaining the authorisation. No problem! I requested that this information be passed onto the medical advisor, in the normal course of business, however, it should be marked as urgent. The Call Centre consultant, advised that this cannot be done, the medical advisor will get to it when they get to it. Ok, then, I asked perhaps I can speak to the advisor and ensure that they have received my request. Again the consultant said, "No". Members are not permitted to speak to the medial advisors as they are very busy. I then asked if I can speak to a Supervisor, the consultant placed the call on hold and I was then told, that the Supervisor endorses everything that was said to me as per procedure, and hopefully I will receive my authorisation by Thursday, and I am been booked in for Friday. Really fed up!
