On the 17th of May 2013, my son's cr? che called me to advise that he wasn't well, that he needs to be fetched from cr? che. I rushed home, on my way home I thought of the nearest doctor I can take him to and Dr Mokolane was the nearest as the primary doctor is in PTA CBD and it would be difficult to take him to CBD from Pretoria North - The Orchards. I called Discovery to check if my son has been to an out of network GP for the year. The lady who answered my phone advised that he hasn't and I can take him to any doctor.
I then told the lady that I loaded Dr Mokolane as the secondary doctor the day before if it's possible I take him to him on that day as his out of network doctor visit and the lady confirmed that I can. I then went to fetch my son from cr? che and took him to Dr Mokolane's surgery. When we arrived there, I advised them that I am a Keycare Plus member with Discovery and that Dr Mokolane will be the secondary doctor effective 1st of June 2013. The lady said I should bring a letter stating that Dr Mokolane is our chosen doctor and that my son hasn't exhausted his out of network visits.
