I have recently been advised by my medical specialist that I have to have a hysterectomy and certain repairs internally as I have had complete prolapse due to natural child birth some years ago. Fedhealth however are only covering 1/5 of the doctor's in-hospital costs even though we escalated this and my doctor explained to their team what needs to be done over and above the standard hysterectomy. What is the point in being on Fedhealth for medical and hospital insurance when you are paying 80% of the doctor's fee? After paying them R5000 a month, I get a measly 20% reimbursement, when you think you are insured.
