I was given a voucher for any eye test for the Torga Optical Tokai branch in June 2011. I went for the eye test and as it turned out I didn't need glasses so I was under the impression that all I needed to do was give them the voucher in exchange for the eye test. A few months later they contacted me telling me that I needed to pay R250 for the eye test and that the eye test was only free if I bought glasses their optician told me I didn't need. I begrudgingly paid the R250. Then today I received a call from their attorney telling me that I need to pay R1300 for an account I paid over a year ago, unless I can produce proof of payment. Unfortunately I no longer have proof of payment, as I thought the matter was closed and I will have to pay R1300 to prevent myself from being blacklisted for an amount I paid 19 months ago. Clearly the cashier pocketed my R250 and now I am left to pay an additional R1300 to keep my name clean. Hopefully no one else will fall for this.
