During April this year I went to Torga Optical in the Langeberg Mall, Mossel Bay and had my eyes tested in order to obtain glasses for reading and long distance. On 12/4/2013 I went to collect them. When I tried them on, both pairs where unusable, as they where out of focus. I was told by Mr McGahan, the optician there, to try them for a few days as my eyes may get used to them, so, trustingly, I paid the balance of my account. I tried them out for a few days to no avail, I took them back, had another eye test, and next day returned to collect them again only to find that they where still out of focus. After numerous return visits, Mr McGahan told me that he was going to contact his head office to obtain a refund. Another week past with no word from Torga Optical, so I again went back to see Mr McGahan. He said that he had had no satisfactory reply from head office and that he had given them my contact details in order that they may contact me directly. He also said that he was not prepared to phone head office in order to follow up this matter. Still waiting, 10 weeks after paying, visit after visit, no glasses, no refund...
