I had to go for a calcification operation last year in July. I went to the surgeon on the Wednesday and he advised that he wanted to do the op the following day. Well, long story short, i couldn't go the following day, as Resolution refused to authorise. i was in so much pain, couldn't move my arm and the more i explained, even cried about the pain, the more they just took their mary time to authorise the op. Because of their negligence, i only got an auth no a week later, after which my shoulder changed into a "frozen shoulder", which takes longer to heal. Their booklet also says that i wasn't supposed to wait longer than 72 hrs for an auth no, well i waited a week. I couldn't work, as i couldn't drive, or give my dancing classes, i lost pupils in this time, which meant loss of income and then they conveniently refused to pay for the physio. I'm now sitting with a R5000 bill which they refuse to pay, after being told that this was the best option to go on medical aid, I beg to differ!!! i wont recommend this medical aid to my worst enemy. Guaranteed, they won't even get back to me about this!!!
