Unfairness to client and lack of accountability

A patient in severe pain was referred to a network specialist who then gave a referral letter for admission who the waited for a bed the whole day and when was available for admission was told that medical aid would not authorise it. When cross checked with brochure as specified medical scheme for exclusions there was nothing related to patients illness with regards to back. Two weeks has now lapsed and patient is still in pain but medical aid willing to help nor explain why they are not authorising the admissionM
