LANCET - TOTAL LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM

On 30 Apr I took a member of my family for a set of blood tests for which I had to pay R1, 005 upfront for. I asked for guidance in terms of the tests required and I was then advised that the results would be available within 24 hrs. When I called on Wednesday, 1 May, I was initially told the result was available. There was then a breach of confidentiality when a Lancet staff member called another member of my family to discuss, which family member referred her to me. I was then told due to the public holiday the results would only be available on Thursday, 2nd May. When I called on 2nd May I was told due to public holiday, the results would now only be available on Monday, 6th May. When I called the Lab at Wilge this morning (Monday, 6th May), I was told that the results are still not available as the machine in Richmond is broken, so they don't know when the results will be available. Staff totally inefficient, no answer from Head of Toxicology Lab at Richmond (placed on hold for 20 minutes). I requested a refund from Wilgeheuwel and was advised they would see what they could do. In the interim, the family member was admitted to the Olivedale this morning.
