Went to doc tue 23july. Doc sent me and my son for blood tests and indicated he wanted blood count, liver function, glandular fever and mumps to be tested.blood taken around 10am.4pm i receive call from lancet sister that my medical aid pays for all tests except mumps test i must pay R357x2 (R714)&that lancet will not do tests till that is paid.i paid amount immediately via EFT and fax confirmation. Wed receive call from lancet i still owe R342 as was given wrong amount as first amount didnt include for the mumps test.i paid and sent confirmation again immediatley.thur morning 8am i call lancet they confirm all tests have been done, results ready and have been sent to my doc. I go to doc, Lancet sister there says no it has not been done and not ready will be ready at 3pm.5:30pm that same day i call lancet they say results were ready the morning. So now i dont know who doesn't know what they doing!! I receive call this morning from doc that mumps test was not done&the R1070 i paid was only for glandular fever tests. This is unacceptable, i was assured by Lancet person Zelmari on wed that the amount i was paying was for both mumps and glandular fever test!!! Now im expected to pay more
