On hold with Samsung call centre for the umpteenth time (I've lost count)... trying to sort out my Galaxy S4 Active. Was handed in at the Constantia Business Park 2 weeks ago for an irritating echo on the speaker. On handing it in, they told me it would be replaced as there are no parts for the "active". A week went by, no feedback. I called to follow up on the status of the job. I was told that the charging port needed to be replaced as it is water damaged and a quote would be sent to me. Water damaged? It's a water proof phone! Charging port? The phone charges perfectly! Eventually someone confirmed the phone would be replaced. This person promised to call back (on my husband's number) to confirm the new phone ETA. No call. Asked for a supervisor to call me back and was told they were all in a meeting. Really? On a Friday afternoon at 3pm? Sure, meeting at The Baron! Since called 100 times, repeated story to many unhelpful individuals who promise to return calls and never do. Also asked to speak to a supervisor several times but they don't exist! Every time I speak to someone new, the status of this job changes. Maybe Samsung doesn't need my loyalty.
