LG Electronics
LG refusing to replace faulty appliance

I purchased an LG Direct Drive 6kg washing machine from Tafelberg, Diep River on the 25th June 2012.
As I did not have my own home at the time, the appliance was placed in a storage facility in Tokai. I have proof hereof. On the 15th December 2012 I moved into my new home. The washing machine was connected and in good working order. Within the first week or two of the new year the motor sounded like it was labouring during the drain and spin cycle. This continued to worsen and it now sticks on the last 7 minutes of the cycle. I lodged a complaint with Tafelberg on 22 January 2013. An LG technician came out on 29th January 2013, the diagnosis was faulty wiring and possibly the circuit board. I used the machine again only to find it was still faulty. I received a call from the technician after lodging another call to say LG will repair the machine, replacing the motor and circuit board, and will not replace it. It's only been in use for 6 weeks! Tafelberg have stated that if it was up to them, they would have been happy to replace it for me but LG say no. I know my Consumer Protection Act and feel that I am in no way being treated fairly. I feel I am entitled to a replacement.
