I purchased a Dell Studio 1558 in March last year from Universe Direct. The keyboard was faulty. In June the hard drive failed and a technician was sent to replace both the hard drive and the keyboard (Dell say they have no record of this). In OCtober last year a technician was sent to replace the keyboard (again) and the dvd drive which had failed. In January this year the hard drive failed again. Dell refuses to replace the machine, saying they will send a technician to replace the part. I don't want any more &^$$ parts replaced, I want the machine REPLACED!!! When I spoke to a Dell manager and he refused to give me a credit note number, I said "So basically, you sold me a dud machine that keeps breaking and you are telling me there is nothing you can do about it? " To which he replied, "Yes." Incredible! So basically I have to keep phoning Dell (have you ever tried that - its an hour's worth of time every call) and they keep replacing parts until the warranty runs out and then I will have to throw the machine away. NEVER BUY A DELL!!!
