Inferior quality not covered by warranty

Firstly I need to say I am disappointed with the quality as my phone is broken Sony used to be associated with the best products what happened?

Last week it broke with out me physically doing anything I notice 2 hairline cracks on the centre of my phone

To me this is a technical or mechanical fault yet when I went to MTN they told me it is physical Damage their technicians will Reject the claim without even looking at my phone

I then contacted Sony on their website and got a email to phone a 086 number I did but the person on the other side was not south african and I'm not sure if she said it is not under warranty but I took down a number 011 894 5868 and was transfers twice without assistance

I've been looking at the internet and this seems to be a very common problem which I hope will be very commonly fixed because I've never even dropped this phone and to me it has never been physically damaged

I await a response as I still have 19 months on contract with this defective product
