Purchased a R5800 brand new Samsung Tumble Dryer from Makro on 06 July 2013. Not 20 days later, the appliance refuses to come on. Called Samsung and logged the service request on Wed 24th. Turnaround time was 24/48 hours. No call received to confirm dates or any information. Get a call from Litronics (or whatever their name is) today, 29th July, at 8.30 saying the technician is at the premises. That was the first ridiculous part. After waiting for 3 hours for a call back from the service center, we call Samsung direct, and get told the confirmation was made, despite us not being contacted. At 4:05pm, we get told the technician has left "our house" after waiting for 30 minutes and nobody was there. This is an absolute as someone was there from 3.20 onwards. This is not the level of service that we paid for or expect. It is absolutely ridiculous to get pushed from pillar to post to get the resolved. Samsung needs to get this in order and get the unit swopped out.
