After a week of using my new Samsung S4, it started to overheat and reboot on its own a lot. Whenever I opened the camera app, the phone would either be able to take pictures or reboot/crash. When I inspected the screen, there also seemed to be a crack but on the inside of the glass, albeit very small in the top left corner. The phone never fell and there is no damage to the phone anywhere on the outside.
I took the phone in to the Samsung Care Centre in Weltevreden Park, they analysed the phone and told me they only heard of it before but that the screen has a stress fracture. They tested the hardware and told the main board needs to be replaced as well as the screen. I mean really?
Why not just give me a new phone? This is obviously a dudd out of the box. Now I sit with a payment of over R300 a month on a device I cannot use... Samsung, this is Africa, but it doesn't mean you have the right to treat customers like this!!
