I recently as in last month made a cash purchase of the new sony Xperia z, I moved away from Iphone as I felt they lack durability and was keen to move to android so I could test our new mxit app.
I dropped phone outside our office and it cracked and does not work. I took it back to Dion Wired in Tygervalley and called Sony to explain it was sent to Vodacom and they have just coming back saying the phone is not fixable and is due to customer negligence.
So I have in effect just wasted R9000 on a phone that was advertised as being "tough enough to handle whatever life has planned." I am very disappointed and its been weeks just to get this answer back.
I work closely within the mobile industry and feel this to be outright misrepresentation.
I don't know what to do and need your help.
Vodacom is now sending the unit back to Dion wired Tygervalley. She has spoken to cape town rep called Brent at Sony and the lady I have been in contact with is Crystal at Dion wired.
