Faulty Samsung Galaxy S4

I bought the samsung galaxy S4 and the day after I received it, half of the screen stopped working, my network provider said its damage I caused but how is it possible if the phone wasn't even 24h old?? no damage was caused by me, its clearly a samsung fault, my phone is booked in at the moment and its been 2 weeks and I don't even know what is going on.
